Council and Committees Council and committee meetings have now resumed. You can always view the full schedule, along with the agenda, minutes and video records online. The City is piloting a new feature, where during Public Hearings of Council, you will be able to keep track of your place through this electronic portal.

Information & Engagement Opportunities:
50th Avenue SW Corridor Study The City of Calgary is now in Phase 3 of its Transportation Corridor Study of 50th Avenue SW between Crowchild Trail and 14A Street SW. As part of Phase 3, the project team is seeking your feedback to help inform the evaluation, identify a preferred design concept and refine the recommended design concept.
Crowchild Trail Study Fall Update The City is now in Phase 5, Concept Selection and Recommendation, of their study looking at Crowchild Trail between 24th Avenue NW and 17th Avenue SW. Although this portion does not pass directly through Ward 11, Crowchild Trail is an important commuter road to other parts of the city.
61st Avenue Greenway Corridor and Pedestrian Bridge Construction for the Greenway corridor continues. See the proposed alternate routes map to help you avoid delays on your commute. Construction on the accompanying Pedestrian Bridge is now underway.
Calgary South West Ring Road As we approach the start of the Government of Alberta’s construction on the Calgary Southwest Ring Road in late 2016, The City of Calgary began work on their portion of the Southwest Ring Road-related projects. Learn about the projects and their timelines.
Leaf and Pumpkin Composting Program You have until Sunday, November 6th to bring your bagged leaves and pumpkins to a drop-off location to be composted. Click the above link to find a location nearest to you, and learn more about the benefits of compost.
River Park, Sandy Beach, Britannia Slopes Redevelopment Many of the Phase II improvements are complete including the Sandy Beach parking lot and washroom upgrades, removal of the invasive Caragana bushes and the escarpment fencing in River Park. Work is starting on River Park’s irrigation system. ENMAX is replacing all the power poles along the gravel access road in River Park.
Snow and Ice Removal Snow is on its way. Learn about how The City manages snow on our roads, and all the work they do to keep you on the move.
SW Transitway BRT The SW Transitway project is a new 22 km bus route that will run from Woodbine to downtown. Council approved the recommendations moved by the Transportation and Transit Committee on July 25th, 2016 to pursue option 1, to coordinate the phasing of construction work with that of ATCOs.
