Fostering Friendly Neighbourhood Connections

Haysboro Senior Resources Group

Haysboro Senior Resources Group

There are many senior social groups in our city, but our group focuses on information and is unique in this area. We attempt to have programs that deal with issues pertaining to seniors, and extend a warm welcome to any who may wish to join us.

We meet the fourth Tuesday of each month. Meetings start at 1:30pm, followed with coffee and cookies, at the Haysboro Community Centre.

Snow Removal/Lawn Care Program

This is an affordable snow/lawn care program for seniors in the community. Clients pay a basic rate, Haysboro youth shovel snow and receive their pay through the Association. Similarly, during the spring/summer season, adults are hired to care for yards and again clients pay a basic rate, with the Association contracting a field supervisor and providing/maintaining the equipment. This past season there were over 50 clients. For more information, please contact Fiona - 403-253-1563

There are approximately 18% of seniors living in their own homes, and we endeavor to make it as comfortable as possible, for as long as possible, for them to remain in their homes.
