Crews are continuing their work at the northwest corner of 14 Street and 90 Avenue building the traffic detour. The pathway at the northwest corner of the intersection is currently closed until mid-April while crews finish building the traffic detour. Signs have been installed to inform pedestrians that the pathway is closed and how to access Glenmore Landing during this time.
Work on installing temporary traffic lights at 14 Street/90 Avenue S.W. is underway, and crews will move to 14 Street/Heritage Drive S.W. next to install the permanent traffic lights. Crews will also be working along 14 Street and on 90 Avenue this week relocating utilities.
Once crews finish removing the concrete curbs at the 14 Street/90 Avenue S.W. intersection this week, they will be placing gravel on the north side of the intersection in preparation for paving the traffic detour. Crews will also start piling work for the underpass on the south side of the intersection in April, so residents can expect to see more equipment working in the area.

The bus stop on the north side of 90 Avenue S.W. has been moved to the west of the Glenmore Landing entrance closest to 14 Street S.W. Once crews are finished building the traffic detour at the intersection, the bus stop will be moved back to its original location.
Lane closures will typically be between 9 a.m. and 3 p.m. For the upcoming week, expected closures and detours include:
March 26 & 27, 2018 at 14 Street & 90 Avenue S.W.
March 26 – 29, 2018 14 Street between Southland Drive & 90 Avenue
March 28, 2018 14 Street & 90 Avenue S.W.
March 28 & 29, 2018 at 14 Street & 90 Avenue S.W.
This month and into the spring, crews will be focused on the 90 Avenue and 14 Street S.W. intersection. Trenching and piling is expected to start in April with ongoing work for temporary lighting and traffic lights.
