Engineering for Kids July 22-26
Morning class: Junior Robotics and Programming
with Edison and Ozobots 9am-12noon
Discover the wild world of robots. Kids will be introduced to both Ozobots and Edison Robotics.
They will work as young scientists, engineers, and mathematicians to create color patterns and code their Ozobot to solve puzzles, traverse mazes, dance, and even go bowl!
Campers are then introduced to coding and programming using Edison. Kids can make use of Edison’s Lego-compatible pegs and a handful of sensors to solve a variety of problems.
Edison can respond to barcodes to perform various predefined tasks or be programmed using a computer using one of a few different languages. We focus on using EdScratch, a block-based programming language.
Afternoon class: Junior Inventors 1pm-4pm
A week of fun, creativity, and of course -- Engineering!
Over the course of a week, kids will invent new machines and explore creative design solutions using the Engineering Design Process. Design your own Drawing Robot, make your build your own Magical Boomerang Can, Catapult, Popper Toy, and more!
Required age: 5 - 7 on the day of the activity
Cost per session is $250 or $400 for both
