North/South Crosstown BRT Project – 2017 Construction Update
The 2017 construction season has begun, which means those living and working along the South Crosstown BRT route can expect to see construction on station platforms getting under way around the end of May. This work will involve some excavation, concrete work, curb work, signals etc. There are currently minimal impacts to traffic anticipated, but there will be some transit impacts such as temporary bus stop relocations. Signs will be in place to help transit riders find their way to the temporary stops before this takes effect. Updates on closures and construction staging will be posted on the project page at Calgary.ca/southxtownbrt.
All work is happening on City owned land so there should be no impacts to private property. If you have any questions or concerns, please don’t hesitate to contact the project team.
